The eastbound Ventura Freeway (SR-134) connector to westbound I-210 will also be closed. Additionally, motorists can check traffic conditions before they leave by calling 511 or visiting the Caltrans Quickmap at quickmap.dot.ca.gov.The 55-hour full weekend closure will take placeFriday, July 29 at 10 p.m. through Monday, August 1 at 5 a.m.The Foothill Freeway is a major thoroughfare, serving commuters between Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties. As a result of heavy use, the road has experienced extensive wear. The closures are part of a $148.5 million pavement rehabilitation project in both directions of I-210 in the cities of Glendale, La Cañada Flintridge and Pasadena. Once the project is completed in 2018 the new surface will provide a smoother, safer drive for motorists, reduce time required for maintenance and minimize the need for further lane closures. Flatiron West Inc. is the contractor on this project. Motorists are advised to “Be Work Zone Alert.” Business News Uncategorized Reminder: 55-Hour Weekend Closures on I-210 Foothill Freeway Continue All Weekend Published on Thursday, July 28, 2016 | 7:14 pm Pasadena’s ‘626 Day’ Aims to Celebrate City, Boost Local Economy Subscribe EVENTS & ENTERTAINMENT | FOOD & DRINK | THE ARTS | REAL ESTATE | HOME & GARDEN | WELLNESS | SOCIAL SCENE | GETAWAYS | PARENTS & KIDS 0 commentsShareShareTweetSharePin it last_img
