Pols missed the point of student protests

first_imgWhat if the politicians guarded the schools?“Excuse me sir, may I inspect your weapon? You’ll have to remove that bump stock and you are only allowed 40 bullets. Thank you.”I attended the march in Albany on March 24 and was moved by and very proud of the marchers. But the politicians were big on praise for the movement, but soft on substance. The references to a limited number of bullets in a magazine and no bump stocks miss the whole point of a majority of placards saying “No More” and not “Not As Much.”John KolwaiteNiskayunaMore from The Daily Gazette:EDITORIAL: Find a way to get family members into nursing homesNiskayuna girls’ cross country wins over BethlehemFoss: Should main downtown branch of the Schenectady County Public Library reopen?Puccioni’s two goals help Niskayuna boys’ soccer top Shaker, remain perfectEDITORIAL: Beware of voter intimidation Categories: Letters to the Editor, Opinionlast_img
