A captivating evening of dance and music was hosted in the loving memory of the brave soldiers, who have sacrificed their lives for their motherland. The evening titled ‘Ek Shaam Shaheedon Ke Naam’ at the India Islamic Cultural Centre in the capital was organised by Arts Vintaage (a project by NGO Sparsh) hosted in collaboration with the famous Naad Foundation, to celebrate India’s 71st Independence Day. The star-studded evening was a brainchild of Nishi Singh (Director – Arts Vintaage). “This evening is a tribute to the martyrs who gave their lives so that the coming generations can breathe in independent India. The motive of the evening is to bring the hidden talent out of these young kids who are the future of our country,” said Nishi. It can only spring from a heart that is free and a soul that is liberated. Therefore, it is very appropriate that we are celebrating 71st Independence Day with an evening of music and dance. What’s even more heart-warming is that the evening is dedicated to the brave souls to whom we owe our freedom,” she said.
