Kher urges people to turn eye donors

Sunday evening experienced all-time favourite Sufi singer Kailash Kher and his band Kailasa in the jam-packed Sirifort auditorium. The evening was celebrating ‘Eyecare day’ as ‘Hope for light’, dedicated to the noble cause of providing quality medical services to the needy and poor by Mahavir International, New Delhi.As a tradition, every year the event is graced by the company of a singer who performs and entertains the audience by spreading the message and importance of donating eyes to someone who needs it. As a part of the big day, 26 families who supported the cause by donating the eyes of their deceased dear ones were honoured at the event. More than 1500 people initiated the movement and joined hands with the organization.Since the last 38 years, the organization is committed to providing quality eye care services with six hospitals spread across the capital which has as good infrastructure as any private hospital along with the best facilities of MRI, CT Scan, Path Labs, Mobile Medicare Unit to the needy and poor living in far-flung areas of Delhi. Addressing the audience, Ranjan Jain, Chairman Mahavir International, Delhi proudly announced the inauguration of two newly donated mobile units and retina set up at one of the six hospitals.last_img
