Planned Parenthood to close 2 Ohio health clinics

CINCINNATI — Planned Parenthood will close two Cincinnati health centres that together serve more than 6,000 patients a year. The planned closure of the Springdale Health Center and Western Hills Health Center comes after the organization refused to follow new rules for receiving federal money for birth control and other reproductive health services.Neither of the centres performs abortions. The organization blames the federal and state policy changes for the centres having to close the health centres on Sept. 20.The Trump administration began enforcing a “gag rule” in August, preventing entities receiving Title X dollars from recommending or advocating abortion.Planned Parenthood decided not to comply with the federal rule and stopped accepting funding through the federal program that provides family planning help to low-income women and families. The Associated Press read more

Lars Jorgensen retires from playing for the national team

Lars Jorgensen has decided to withdraw from playing for the national team, as he feels too tired for it already. This means Ulrik Wilbek will not only miss the AG Copenhagen player for the qualification matches for the European championship, but will also miss him for the next World Cup championship.Jorgensen said that the reasons for this are that he feels exhausted, and that the only possibility to play, is if there is suddenly a big gap in the Danish defence, i.e. if injuries occur and the defence remains weak. He also mentioned that it’s possible that he plays one or two matches in the qualifying if the results of the national team get worse. ← Previous Story Chaos in the Macedonian National team Next Story → Savevski resigned – Sundovski changed him read more

EHF CL Wild Card auction RNL Granollers Gorenje and Kielce

← Previous Story Bilbija and Vortmann join GWD Minden Next Story → Arnautovic left Crvena zvezda after Perunicic’s attack! EHF Wild Card tournament After many serious teams failed to qualify for the next edition of the EHF Champions League, media speculations about “Wild Card” tournament invitations started. The most secure is probably fourth team from Germany, the best League in the World.  Rhein Neckar Lowen will have same possibility as last summer, when “Lions” got a chance through “WC tournament” and then came to the “EHF F4” tournament in Cologne. After Spanish final and domination in Cologne, one is definitive. Fourth team from Spain MUST have a chance to enter the competition of 24 best teams of Europe. Team with the tradition, CWC finalist last season and fourth in ASOBAL this season was Fraikin Granollers with the same number of points as Ademar Leon.Slovenian vice-champion, Gorenje Velenje has an adequate status in the European handball. That is why, team from Velenje played at previous “Wild Card” tournament. Only Champion isn’t the same. Last year that was Celje PL and this season Cimos Koper won Championship. Gorenje is second and for the third year in a row is expected that EHF gives a chance to Slovenian vice-champion.Fourth “expected” team is Polish vice-champion, Vive Targi Kielce. Maybe sounds unfamiliar to the French third team (Dunkerque) or Swiss vice-champion (Pfadi Wintertur), but Polish Vive Targi Kielce has a quality and financial stability to find a place in TOP 16 of the EHF Champions League, like two seasons ago. It would be interesting to see, what will be the decision of EHF, if it is a fact that even Polish champion, Wisla Plock, has to go through qualification, so it could be interesting situation that Champion of one country doesn’t play in the EHF CL, while Vice-champion does.2009/10: Reale Ademar, Kadetten, Celje PL, Lemgo2010/11: Rhein-Neckar Löwen, Silkeborg, Reale Ademar, Gorenje Velenje read more
