Ex-Red Devil says Lukaku is biggest Premier League prospect but Kane is better

first_imgDion Dublin has heaped praise upon expected Manchester United signing Romelu Lukaku, calling him the ‘biggest prospect in the Premier League’.However, the former Red Devils striker does not believe Lukaku is yet at the level of Tottenham forward Harry Kane.It was announced on Saturday that United have reached an agreement with Everton concerning the transfer of Lukaku to Old Trafford, subject to a medical and personal terms.Should the deal go through, the Belgium forward will link up with the Red Devils having scored 71 goals for the Toffees over the last three seasons. He is one of the most prolific goalscorers in English football, but Dublin believes he is still ‘half a notch’ behind Kane, who has won the last two Premier League Golden Boots and has netted 94 goals in the same timeframe as Lukaku’s 71.Speaking to talkSPORT, Dublin said: “As a centre-forward, I don’t think there’s a box he (Lukaku) doesn’t tick.“Harry Kane, for me, ticks every single box. Lukaku is maybe just half a notch off Harry Kane.“I believe Lukaku is the biggest prospect in the Premier League, and can get better – a lot better.”It was expected Lukaku would leave Everton for Chelsea this summer, not UnitedHis relationship with Jose Mourinho was said to be rather fractious given their shared spell at Stamford Bridge, but Dublin believes both men will get the best out of one another at Old Trafford.“Maybe he wanted a change,” Dublin said, when asked why Lukaku did not return to Chelsea. “Maybe he was thinking ‘I was there for a while and you didn’t want me then’.“Mourinho must have seen a difference in him, a change in him. I don’t think Mourinho is stupid enough to say ‘I’ve had him before; I’m not going to have him again’.“He just wants to win, and I think Mourinho will find a way to get the best out of Lukaku, as Lukaku is a very, very good centre-forward. Supply him, and he will score goals.“In a Man United shirt he’ll get more chances than at any other club in the Premier League, so now all he’s got to do is get his numbers up and he’ll be one of the best in the world.”last_img read more

John Deere introduces MaxEmerge 5e row units for spring 2017

first_imgShare Facebook Twitter Google + LinkedIn Pinterest To help corn and soybean growers improve planting accuracy, reliability and uptime during this critical time of year, John Deere introduces the MaxEmerge 5e row units. Available in time for use next spring, the variable-rate MaxEmerge 5e row units can be used on a wide variety of John Deere planters, including popular mini-hopper and DB planters.Brian Boelens, product specialist John Deere Seeding, says the new MaxEmerge 5e row units provide significant improvement in seeding population accuracy across the full width of the planter, especially when operating on curves. “With planters equipped with the electric meter drive for each row unit and related technology, customers can achieve up to a 20 percent improvement in population accuracy and eliminate a potential one to two percent yield loss due to seeding inaccuracies.”While the MaxEmerge 5e row units still utilize a seed tube, an electric drive meter on each row unit replaces traditional shafts and drivelines, allowing each row unit to work independently. Eliminating these components also provides easier access to each row unit and decreases time and labor needed for planter maintenance. The MaxEmerge 5e row units can be used on 1725 16-row, 1775NT, 1795, DB44, DB60, DB66, DB80, DB88, and DB90 planters, including mini-hopper, 1.6-bushel and 3-bushel hopper models. It is compatible with SeedStar 3HP and SeedStar Mobile seed monitoring systems that have a wireless data server.Standard features of the MaxEmerge 5e row units include variable rate, individual row electric meter drives; SeedStar 3HP monitoring system; one year free activation of SeedStar Mobile; Curve Compensation; vacuum automation; meter runoff and built in RowCommand. To operate the electric drive meters, tractors need to have PTO for electric power generation.Optional features available for use with planters equipped with MaxEmerge 5e units include easy-adjust row cleaners, individual row hydraulic downforce, pneumatic closing wheels and, depending on model of planter, fertilizer attachments. Active pneumatic downforce is standard equipment on all MaxEmerge 5e row units and ExactEmerge models.“For customers running newer model planters, retro fit kits are available to convert to MaxEmerge 5e units which will improve seeding accuracy while increasing productivity and uptime,” Boelens adds. “With today’s tight margins, corn and soybean producers are looking for ways to maximize yields and productivity while saving time and input costs. Planting with a MaxEmerge 5e row unit equipped planter can help them achieve those goals.”For more information on the new MaxEmerge 5e row units and other products from John Deere Seeding, contact your local John Deere dealer or visit www.JohnDeere.com/ag.last_img read more
